Our founding institution, Queen Elizabeth’s School, Barnet, stands as one of the United Kingdom’s most academically distinguished schools. For the first time, we now bring this world-class British education to the heart of India’s national capital region. By joining us, you become a founding member of a learning community and alumni network that proudly celebrates over 450 years of tradition and academic achievement, standing the test of time and boldly embracing our evolving future.
We recognise that a truly impactful education extends beyond the acquisition of knowledge and skills. An Elizabethan education prioritises the development of resilience and character, ensuring our students are prepared to thrive throughout their lives and equipped to address contemporary challenges. We are dedicated to knowing every student personally and to providing them with the tools to flourish, not only academically, but also on stage, in sport, and within the interpersonal and digital spaces that shape our conversations and drive innovation.
At Queen Elizabeth’s School, Gurugram, we are committed to cultivating informed and articulate global citizens, with carefully honed abilities to perceive accurately, think critically, and lead wisely within their communities. We believe that flourishing does not happen by accident; it is the result of every staff member’s unwavering dedication to nurturing each student’s curiosity and encouraging their excitement for learning. We believe that when we allow students’ natural enthusiasm to lead, they will develop a sense of responsibility and ownership over their own learning that allows them to develop into self-directed, lifelong learners and leaders, positioned to contribute their unique gifts to the world.
Your child will be challenged to think independently, practice consideration of others, express themselves thoughtfully and with intent, and develop leadership skills for a complex world. We invite you to join us on this exciting journey, where the flourishing of each student is at the very core of all we do

A rich history
The history of Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet, based in London, United Kingdom, is firmly rooted in its founding in 1573 when Queen Elizabeth I granted a royal charter for the 'Free Grammar School of Queen Elizabeth in Barnet'.
The charter, which was requested by Robert Dudley, Earl of Leicester, established the School as a place of education for boys, which included a grammar course and other academic pursuits.
The School's historical heritage is an integral part of its identity and its traditional British education continues to influence its academic excellence, operational practices, and ethos even in the 21st century.
