Queen Elizabeth’s School, Gurugram, welcomes applications from families who share our values and seek an exceptional education for their children. Our admissions process is transparent, supportive and thorough, ensuring every child is assessed fairly and holistically and given the best possible start to their journey with us.

How to apply

Admissions enquiry

  • Parents/guardians begin the admissions process by contacting the Admissions Office via phone, email, or through the online enquiry form on our website.
  • Our Admissions Team will provide an overview of the School’s curriculum, facilities, fee structure, and available year-group places.
  • Families can schedule a campus tour to experience our learning environment firsthand.

  • Parents must complete the official Application Form (online or in person).
  • A non-refundable application/tuition fee deposit is payable at this stage.
  • Required documentation:
  • Scanned copy of the child’s Aadhaar card (or passport for international students).
  • Scanned copies of both parents' identification documents.
  • Previous school reports (from the last two years, if applicable).
  • International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) results/academic certificates (if applicable).

  • The School will confirm the correct year group based on the child’s age as of 31st August, in accordance with our Age Placement Table.
  • Any exceptions to this placement will be reviewed by the Principal in consultation with the Inclusion Team, such as in the case of Special Educational Needs (SEND) or English as an Additional Language (EAL) students.

  • The assessment process allows the School to understand your child’s unique talents, interests, and learning style.

Assessment methods vary by year group

Year group Assessment method
Pre-Prep School Group assessment focusing on phonics, social skills, and cognitive development.
Prep School CAT4 tests for cognitive aptitude, literacy, and numeracy screening.
Senior School CAT4 tests for cognitive aptitude, literacy, and numeracy screening.
Post-16 Review of IGCSE or equivalent results and interview assessment.

Interviews

  • Pre-Prep and Prep: Parent and child interviews will be conducted to explore family values, expectations, and alignment with the School’s mission.
  • Senior and Post-16: Student interviews to assess personality, motivation aspirations, and readiness for advanced study.

  • QE Gurugram is committed to inclusion. All applications for students with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) or English as an Additional Language (EAL) are reviewed by the Inclusion Team. Support may include:
  • Individualised Education Plan (IEP)
  • Specialist staff and resources
  • 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (financed by parents, if required)

Parents are expected to disclose all relevant medical, psychological or educational assessments at application.

Successful applicants will receive a Formal Offer Letter from the Admissions Office. To secure a place, parents must pay:

  • Refundable security deposit.
  • Non-refundable application fee.
  • First term tuition fees (or payment under an instalment plan).

Waiting lists

In cases of oversubscription:

  • Families will be informed if a year group has a waiting list.
  • Priority will be given to:
  • Siblings of existing students.
  • Siblings of SEND and EAL students.
  • Children of School staff.
  • Other applicants who align with the School’s ethos.
  • The waiting list does not guarantee placement.

Parent–School agreement

All parents/guardians are required to sign the Parent–School Contract annually, which sets out:

  • Mutual commitments.
  • School policies.
  • Expectations for a strong educational partnership.
  • Dispute-resolution guidelines.

Orientation programme

All new families are invited to participate in our induction programme, which includes:

  • Guided campus tour.
  • Meetings with key academic and pastoral staff.
  • Introduction to routines, School values and expectations.
  • Parent engagement strategies.

Boarding admissions (if applicable)

Applications to the boarding programme will be considered based on:

  • Academic potential.
  • Leadership qualities.
  • Willingness to engage in a multicultural community.

Withdrawal and re-enrollment tuition fee deposit

  • Withdrawal: Parents must give at least one term’s written notice.
  • Leaving certificates: Issued to students transferring within India or internationally.
  • Re-enrollment tuition fee deposit: Returning families must complete the re-enrollment tuition fee deposit process and pay the admission fee to secure a place.

Documents required for admission include:

  • Scanned copy of the child’s Aadhaar card or passport.
  • Scanned copies of both parents’ ID documents.
  • Previous two school reports (if applicable).
  • IGCSE results/academic certificates (if applicable).
